Biotech Rap- Transformation Feat. Notorious GFP
Biotech Rap- Transformation Feat. Notorious GFP
Lyrics:
yo, this is for my boy
he was living the hip hop dream
and then he got shot nine times in the face, with a gene gun
yo jamal mallindrome, this for you
yea, check it check it, one take,
a-town, say what
chorus:
transforming dna is a process not to hard,
dna can always be changed, it happens everyday
transforming dna is a process not to hard,
dna will make my day in every single way
(yo, yo)
1 2 3 biotechnology, I got me a-tam, jack huang, jimmy lee,
be up in mrs gauci’s class popping the pill, before I was sick, but now im just plain ill
(yo,yo)
yo it was oh-five when i was last up on this game, nows its oh-six and i’m trying to make myself a name
and the cell membrane is all mosaic and fluid,
now this is the point where the trouble starts brewing,
so i put it on ice, like the grills on my teeth
it gets rigid and hard like the life on the streets (true dat)
Plasma ain’t got rhythm he aint got no flow,
cant get into the cell unless you open the door, (yes yes)
so just to let you know, i got my mind on the chedder,
need to increase competance, the cheaper the better
chorus
got use the heat shock to help with the flow,
you aint got any heat, you aint got any show.
the draft created by the 42 degrees,
makes the DNA flow through the membrane with ease.
The punishment you dealt shouldn’t have been a crime,
so cut the slack fool, with some recovery time.
take your cells and dunk it in some LB
and shout out to your man luria bertani
Take me with you, so we can combine (check it , check it)
Take me with you, its so hard I cry(its so hard you know)
Take me with you, and I will make you mine
and im always looking out for the signs of you, waiting for the time to come by.
chorus
(check it, uh huh, uh huh)
so maybe your transformation efficiency lacks decency in this industry where every playa needs to copy me,
copy yourself bro, cuz you know you need mo’, when you transform p glo plasmids yo. (yes)
yo p-glo transformation requires proper preparation,
with CaCl2 thats at standard concentrations,
to make competant cell creations,
abide by standard declarations,
for this population and the biology nation
and we all know like and like creates dislike,
so CaCl2 jsut spit straight up on the mic,
its takes the negative cell membrane and neutralizes charges
for starters its harder without calcium chloride helpers
Take me with you, so we can combine (combine)
Take me with you, its so hard I cry
Take me with you, and ill will make you mine
and I’m always looking out for the signs of you, waiting for the time to come by.
chorus
(check it, check it, uh huh)
yo i just do it like, oh oh, i be the kid with the laminar flow i just go:
hey cell its your birthday, lets party like its your birthday,
we gonna inject dna cuz its your birthday,
so every single day we transform DNA
I’m packing two fiddy micros into my Gilson,
aw my baby mama’s calling but I know he ain’t my real son
im a OG playa dont mean to sound crude,
But I only took one shot in her eppendorf tube, (whooo)
one chance, one opportunity,
ampicillin immunity,
its like living in peace with rival gangs in my community.
yo, I just want to see some peace in biology,
all I see, is a room of bacteria and miss lee,
you can’t hold me down,
thats my dream,
all i want is some peace
we’ll see that world one day, (yo ya)
we’ll give it a twirl
so that, we be free
I’m not gonna lie, its pretty good.
It is about transformation of DNA and it is accurate too. It uses some slangs to make it sound cool. Everything is in the lyrics that I posted. its funny because it actually sounds good and its informative.
Enjoy!

This is very very interesting. I have never seen this song before, and i believe that it probably helps people understand the transformation of DNA. I think that it is very accurate as well and people who learn better with sayings and songs would benifit greatly from this really awesome song.

His name is a play on “pallindrome”? (I think this is how it’s spelled.)
